Halloween Spooktacular: A Costume Design, Building, and Sewing Class
For grades K-2
For the kid that has PLANS when it comes to Halloween, or just the kid who likes to create wild costumes out of boxes and cloth….and maybe LED lights? The entire Wilder Arts’ makerspace studio will be available for kids to design, build, and sew their most outlandish creations.
In this workshop, we will learn hand and machine sewing as well as pattern making and design development, as well as working in other mediums including clay, circuitry, and construction as needed. We will also learn about sustainability and use our creativity to primarily use upcycled fabrics and other found materials.
This class will run for 10 weeks. Children may be dropped off between 3-3:30pm. We will provide a walking school bus from Union Elementary School.
Children enrolled in our fall session will have first dibs on the Winter 2025-2026 Session, in order to provide a continuity of after school programming for families who would like it.
Wednesdays 3pm to 5pm | August 28, 2025 to October 30, 2025
