Bring your A-game, stylemakers!! This class is ALL about creating wild and awesome fashion.
We will guide makers and help them pursue their own fashion interests, whether they are into jewelry making, clothing, bags, hair accessories, or hats. As part of the class, students will learn all about the history of fashion design, from avant garde and haute couture to urban streetstyle and rocker chic. Depending on their vision, children will learn how to drape and sew, sew from patterns, and upcycle vintage finds into one of a kind wearable fashion.
Children will have the option of presenting their looks at a runway show at our Spring Artists Showcase in March. They will have the option of wearing their own clothes, or having a friend walk and model their outfits for them.
This class will run for 10 weeks, each week building on the prior week’s work. Drop off is between 3-3:30pm. We will provide a walking school bus from Union Elementary School to Wilder Arts Studio.
