For kindergarten to 5th grade
Sharpen those pencils and get your thinking caps on, because we are writing and publishing our very own picture books.
In this class, we will guide children through the process of writing their very own book. Children will first dream up their wildest stories (which we will lovingly transcribe for our younger authors.) We will then teach children basic drawing techniques so their characters and action really come to life! Each child will scan their drawings into our computers in preparation for online printing.
Each child will go home with a published paperback book, with the option for caregivers to print more to share with family and friends. Books will arrive after the last day of class.
This class will run for 6 sessions, with each class building on the prior class’ work. Drop off is between 3-3:30pm. We will provide a walking school bus from Union Elementary School.
Fridays 3pm-5pm | December 5, 2025 to January 22, 2026 (No class on Dec 26th and Jan 2nd.)
