The Pottery Workshop: Planters!

$75.00

There’s nothing like a fresh bit of greenery to prep a home for the winter months. Whether you’re new to pottery or just want to hang out with some friends and make pretty, useful things, this class is for you!

In this 2-week workshop, local potter and artist Alexi High is guiding us on the art of hand-building pottery to create one-of a kind planters.

In our first week, Alexi will first introduce us to hand-building techniques and how to roll clay into smooth cylinders, and then he’ll guide us on how to use various pottery tools to press and form our planters into unique, textured pieces. Alexi will fire our planters, so that in the second week, we’ll focus on glazing, design, and adding color contrasts to our pots.  After a final firing, students will be able to pick up their set of completed coasters at the studio.

If you come to class with a specific vision or dimension in mind, we’ll work with you to create something truly beautiful and exactly what you wanted.

This event is BYOB. We’ll have a selection of teas; folks should feel free to bring in their own spirited drinks to sip and share.

Craft with friends! If you and your friends sign up, tell us your friends’ names and use the code CraftNight at checkout to each receive $5 off.
