Our block printing class is back as a fuller workshop, to give you more time and materials to learn and personalize greeting cards to t-shirts.
In this 2-class workshop, artist Britt Hayes will teach the art of carving, stamping, and printing our very own cards, artwork, and t-shirts. No experience is needed and all are welcome from beginner to advanced.
We will have examples and images for inspiration and tracing. If you have something that feels inspiring (think leaf on the ground, drawing in sketchbook, images in a book) feel free to bring it!
The first week will be all about creating your blocks and carving your image out. The second class will be all about printing!
What to Expect:
Hands-on tutorial on block printing
Design, trace, and carve your own rubber block stamp
Print as many cards or artwork prints as you like. Also feel free to bring in dishtowels, t-shirts, totes, or any other cloth to personalize as well.
Learn how to mix your own inks to create a custom color for your artwork
Feel free to mix and match prints with others to create a varied set of artwork to bring home
Hang out with others in a light-hearted, creative space
