Visual mending hides those holes and tears through felted art! Whether it’s a flower, bird, or croissant, mending through felting will breath new life and artistry into your favorite pieces. When it comes to sweaters, socks, or any wooly piece of clothing, you can actually use needle felting to easily transform your torn-up clothes into something beautiful again.
In this class, local needle felter and fiber artist Grace Safford will show you how to use needle felting to mend your wooly clothes. Once you know how to use wool to mend, you’ll be able to do it on your own at home in a flash—and you can even use the technique to add decorations to your favorite clothing items.
Bring in any wooly item to mend (i.e. a sweater, socks, hats, mittens, etc), or any item that you’d just like to add some decoration to. Needle felting tools and wool will be provided.
