Maria & Sofia have a confession to make: despite many attempts, we’ve never learned to knit! This class is meant for everyone out there too intimidated to even glance at a set of knitting needles. Don’t worry, Grace Safford is here to help and gently guide us towards figuring this all out once and for all.
The fiber arts can be daunting, especially when you’re surrounded by a lot of things and ideas and terms you’re unfamiliar with. In this class, local fiber artist Grace Safford will be taking us back to the beginning. She’ll teach you the basic tools and terms of knitting, how to start a project, how to do the most basic knitting pattern, and (maybe the hardest part!) how to finish a project.
We’ll be knitting simple squares and advancing to comfy cozy scarves in this three-part class. In addition to making cute items, we’ll be building a warm and supportive environment, with plenty of tea and good vibes.
